To Him

You say
Never normal
Never necessary
Always naïve
I am not noticeable, or even noble.
I am not neat or noteworthy
To you, I’m a nightmare
I’m a nobody.
You call me a nothing
Naturally you don’t need me
Never going to be your necessity
But to him I’m a princess
His present prayer
He gives me a purpose
He is positive and playful
He tells me I am polite and passionate
Portrays me positively
He pushes me to prosper
Presently he’s pushed up against me
Practically asleep
He’s my protector
And my perfect prince.
